BOTTLE WALL BASKET

It starts with the plumtree of my grandparents. First, they made their own delicious plum jam from the plums. But at a time the tree became too big and they decided to cut it down.
The tree has ‘given’. To give back, I decide to keep the wood and give it a second life.

Meanwhile, the thought came; what to do with the wood?

I had an internship at Piet Hein Eek. Working in the production, I was sanding the armrests of one of the chairs. This armrest looks like half a bottle as well my grandpa liked to drink on its time a glass of liquor.

The insight came; make a special bottle basket of the wood from the plumtree.
And the Bottle Wall Basket was born.

From the wood that was still left are made other items. Like the Book Holder.
